Jessica A. White has been involved in art since a
young age. Throughout her childhood she explored areas in
drawing, painting, and sculpture. Later in life she put
art on hold, attending the University of Ca, Davis to
study Biochemistry & Nutrition. While there she happened
upon a History of Photography class, opening her eyes to
an exciting career that has been her focus ever since.
Jessica began exploring the various areas of
photography in the summer of 2006 and quickly fell in
love with the art. She gained experience in portraiture,
nature, and still life, while maintaining her studies in
college. It was this combination of Nutrition courses and
Photography that provoked her interests in photographing
food. Currently her main focus lies in the areas of food
and still life photography, however, she continues to
develop her portrait and personal work as well.
"I love the idea of expanding my photography to
include many areas. I don't want to deny myself any
opportunities or limit my work to one field. My affinity
for photography comes from the never-ending possibilities,
the opportunity to create something compelling from all
areas of life. If I can find a way to showcase the beauty
of my subject, whether it be something or someone, I'm
satisfied."
